Learn how to verify new CHIRPs (Check-in Reimbursement Program) and push them directly into your Member Management System
Step 1 - Start on the Welld Verification Page
To use the verification site, direct prospects or walk-ins to the verification site where they will enter their Benefit ID, their cell phone number, and their email address.
- Benefit IDs are assigned by CHIRPs programs, and are NOT their insurance policy ID. Optum IDs begin with an A or an S followed by 9 digits. ASH IDs are nine digits.
- If the member currently exists in your MMS, PLEASE have them use the same email address. This will allow Welld to match them to the existing record. If not, Welld may create a new prospect.
The verification site may reject the ID for a variety of reasons:
- The ID does not match any of the programs offered.
- The ID has been rejected as invalid by one of the programs.
- The ID is valid, but does not match the “Tier” of service from Optum (this article contains more information on this error).
- The ID is already registered at the specific location.
- The ID has not be pre-registered with ASH in the Silver&Fit or Active&Fit sites. This is a program requirement from ASH.
Step 2 - Verify the Name

Once the ID is verified, the second screen will confirm the identity of the member and provide one last click to complete verification.
Step 3 - Note the MMS Record Created
The third step in the verification process is a success screen. This screen will “push” the member’s information into your MMS, apply a note to their record, and send an email to your studio with the relevant information.
Step 4 - Back in your MMS, you may need to write up a New Agreement / Sell the Package / Convert the Prospect to a Member
The final step in the verification process is to log into your MMS, find the new or existing member record, and take action. The notes in the member’s record will provide instruction on which action to take.
For Daxko Operations: GOOD NEWS: A new prospect with [MEMBERSHIP] has been added from [CLUB]. Please convert this prospect to a full member.
For Mindbody: GOOD NEWS: A new member signed up to receive [CLASS PACK] with their [MEMBERSHIP] account. This $0 package will automatically renew each month. You may continue to sell additional packages to this member.
For Club Automation: GOOD NEWS: A new member signed up to receive a free membership with their [MEMBERSHIP] account. Please convert this prospect to a member, and then add package [PACKAGE NAME] to their account. You may continue to sell additional packages to this member.
For ClubReady: READY FOR PACKAGE SALE: This user is a confirmed [INSURANCE BENEFIT] member and eligible for [X CLASSES] per calendar month. Sell [INSURANCE BENEFIT PACKAGE] to complete the activation. Follow the Healthcare SOP to set renewal on the 1st of each month.
For TractionRec: GOOD NEWS: A new member signed up to receive a free membership with their [INSURANCE BENEFIT] account.
For ABC Fitness: GOOD NEWS: A new member signed up to receive a free membership with their [INSURANCE BENEFIT] account. This $0 package will automatically renew each month.
